EThekwini Municipality is offering a three-year Artisan Development Programme for unemployed youth, specifically for the Diesel Mechanic trade. Eligible applicants must have a minimum N2 certificate or equivalent qualifications, be South African citizens aged 18-35, and reside in eThekwini. Candidates will undergo assessments and complete an apprenticeship that includes practical training and theoretical components. Responsibilities

• Complete an apprenticeship programme as per the specified and regulated criteria of the applicable Seta/QCTO and the National Artisan Moderating Body
• Undergo various assessments
• Undergo a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan in the relevant trade

Qualifications

• Minimum N2 certificate including the relevant trade theory subject
• Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/ Engineering science and related trade theory subject
• Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical diploma
